Tributes & memorial Gifts

Giving a gift in memory of a loved one or in honor of a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion is a unique way to honor that special someone while supporting the mission of CASA of Monroe County When you choose to honor someone in your life in this manner, we gladly send a special letter to the honored person(s) to let them know about your special gift.

Endowment

In 2007, the Friends of CASA board established an endowment with the Monroe County Community Foundation to ensure future sustainability of the CASA program in Monroe County. Endowment funds offer permanent financial support because of the income generated through careful investment management.

Contributions are tax-deductible. Gifts made to CASA qualify the donor for a charitable income tax deduction and may reduce any applicable gift or estate taxes. Cash, securities and real estate can be contributed. In Michigan a 50% direct Michigan Income Tax Credit applies to all gifts to endowed funds with a Certified MI Community Foundation. CASA encourages its donors to consult with their personal financial advisors and attorneys for situation-specific guidance. Remembering CASA in your estate planning leaves a legacy of safe, permanent homes for all children.
